Big Sur, California: If you’ve always wanted to experience the Italian Riviera, you can do it right here at California’s stunning coastline. With the Santa Lucia Mountains alongside a dramatic coastline, it’s one of America’s most stunning destinations.
Aleutian Islands, Alaska: If you’re looking for the wildlife trip of a lifetime, you’ll find it here. Marine mammals like the grey minke, humpback, orca and sperm whales, seals, sea lions, and walrus are abundant. As are several bird species unique to this region.
Culebra, Puerto Rico: Want to visit Fiji but think it’s too far? Try Culebra with its fantastic beaches. This seven-mile-long island is still relatively undiscovered. You’ll see leatherback turtles, giant Culebra anole, and bioluminescent organisms. The atmosphere is very exotic.
Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado: These dunes rise to over 700 feet and award climbers with panoramic views of nearly endless dunes. It’s excellent for stargazing too. We can’t recommend this destination enough.

It has the highest peak in North America at 20,130 feet, and several hiking trails, including one that winds through spruce and aspen forests to beautiful Horseshoe Lake. Try and spot grizzlies, wolves, moose, caribou, Dall sheep, martens, lynx, beavers, and foxes.
Key West, Florida Keys: This chain of islands is the best way to experience the Caribbean without ever leaving the continental U.S. The Keys feel international with their colorful buildings, beachy boutiques, art galleries, snorkeling, sailing, and nightlife. There’s excellent, fresh seafood too.
Santa Fe, New Mexico: The oldest state capital has a colorful history and a historic main plaza that feels like it’s in a different country. Explore its many unique attractions, several art galleries, amazing museums, and magnificent architecture. The city is also known for its healing energy and transformative qualities.
